This dress was inspired Aztec design and storytelling, which have contributed greatly to my culture. For this garment, I researched 15th and 16th century sculptures, image, and text in order to begin designing with a clear aesthetic foundation. By using only muslin, I was able to push my fabric manipulation, using weaving and origami as my main form of storytelling and construction.
